Seabright worked at Unilever for five years, starting in 2014, under then-chief executive Paul Polman. Xampla hopes to bring its materials to the UK mass market in 2021 and is confident that companies will use them to replace items such as plastic bags, envelopes, films and microbeads. The business has been certified as a B-Corp despite not having sold any products yet. In a statement, the company said its ten employees are pleased that Seabright brings "a wealth of environmental and commercial experience" to the table, which will allow the company to design packaging that meets the needs of large consumer goods companies.
